A year ago I have joined 2018/2019 Design Trust Futures Studio with the theme “Play is for the people” to challenge the future design of mico-parks in Hong Kong. It is a pilot programme to give a more positive energy to the community and an open mindset to impact our everyday living space in Hong Kong. The four pilot sites include: Portland Street Rest Garden, Sitting-Out Area under Hill Road Flyover, Yi Pei Square Playground and Hamilton Street Rest Garden which designed by my team and I.
The design journey with Leisure and Culture Services Department, Architectural Services Design, and all the design workshop and field trips with Design Trust Members were unbelievable and fun. We have now documented our design process through drawings, models and videos that are in an exhibition which is now open. Please drop by and exhibition details are at below. In the meantime, let me share with you all some snapshots of the exhibition launch.
It was great seeing familiar faces yesterday. Please drop by to share our year work in proress. If you miss the opening of the video launch, it’s been uploaded online at Vimeo. Please click hereh.
